Got for my 7 year old and e loves it. Black family and we are always looking for great kids books. We read this book before bed at least once weekly, after finishing it in one night when we first got it.
True story. Looking for children's book that explained inclusion amongst diverse cultures. Again, very inspiring.
I used this book in my classroom for a short story-people who do extraordinary things unit. The students all loved this story! They still talk about Emmanuel (2 1/2 months later) and frequently take it from the library to reread and look at!
