One evening was looking for something else on the internet and ran into the art of beeswax candles. I have been interested for the past month reading and researching and finally last night made my first 4 candles a votive and three in a mason jar. Was excited making these and am interested in starting a business now. It has been such a terrible year for me. Laid off for the past 14 months, I have applied to well over 400 private sector jobs plus 200 USAJobs with no real luck at all. Many disappointing outcomes. My mother shattered both her writs at 75 and lives out of state. Lost a friend of mine. just a horrible year. I don't have the start money which I am looking at 3k for this but maybe one day I can start this full force. I have a good business plan and financial forecast is good with a profit moving higher each year in my 6 products to date. Your book was a HUGE help and confidence boost for me and I have been writing and highlighting so much from your book. I wanted to thank you and hope that I can get things turned around for me finally and have some good news for a change. It's tough trying to start all over at 53 but I am hoping I can be successful doing this. If I only started this last year when I was laid off and had the funds it would had been great for this winter season to be ahead. As it stands now I have a whopping $152 in my account so with my fixed income now it will take awhile to really do more I guess. My wife is paying most of the mortgage now so I really want to help pay more of my share of the bills. Thanks again for doing this great advice book and helping me learn more about this business. I included a pic but can't seem to make it turn the correct way for displaying here, sorry.
I'm going to start making candles for profit and have been doing a lot of reading about it, and this book has been very informative and helpful on getting started. I would definitely recommend it!! 😀ðŸ‘

I brought this book as a gift but as I begin to read it I was really impressed it was well written and I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to start a candle making business I think I'm going to get my own copy I really enjoyed this reading.
The first page made claims that are absolutely untruthful about paraffin wax. There are no statistics or data to prove her claim and hers is simply a matter of opinion. I put the book down and may read it at a later time, but she blew her validity to me making those claims on the first page. How much more is untrue in this book. Don't know if I even want to read the thing and don't know if I can believe a word of it.
Found this soap and beeswax candle making book on free promotion, decided to download it. I am glad I did. This is a fascinating book. I didn't know candle is multi billion dollar industry. For most stay-at-home moms I think this a perfect side gig where they can master the craft and make a few extra bucks. The author I thought did a decent job explaining how to get started. Two thumbs up for this book.
Most of this information can easily be found online, and a lot of it is just common sense. The essential oil guide on page 52 is impossible to read, which I found particularly disappointing; it looks like a bad computer graphic that was blown up to fit the page. As an English major, the grammatical errors throughout the book make it difficult for me to take the author seriously. Only reason I don't return it is because it costs half of what I paid for it to send it back (thanks Amazon Prime).
I ordered this book because I'm looking to get into this business, and I really found this book to be informative. It's a relatively quick read also. I was done in less than 3 days but still plan to use the book as a reference in the future.
