My query, whether a DSLR is more important or I need to improve my skills, got resolved with the help of this book. I liked the chapters organization and structure put together in the book. A quick read... The street photos are superb. I look forward to read more from the author.
The first part of the book is an overview of methods used in street photography. She discusses her approach to street photography, which is good since I have no idea what I'm doing in that regard. Regardless you are a beginner or an experimented photographer, this book is a must have tool to get a lot better.
I have a lot of photography books, I enjoy most of them, but this is the most beautiful and helpful book I've found in awhile, (good price too). The info goes past shooting to edits, organizing, sharing, and promoting, all succinctly presented. This was a find and I hope the author is up for more. Very enjoyable with personal stories and beautiful street portraits.
The book covers all aspects of street photography and portraiture. I liked that the book is not overloaded with technical jargons and confusing terms. Chewable and great work by the writer/ photographer.
Go for it.. even if you're not into street photography or any photography, you would like the portraits of everyday people we meet on the streets. Good and interesting captions.
Go for it if you are looking for techniques rather than how to apply tools...
